After listening in, the villain, Dartmouth Defraud, announces he is the partner.  Hero and heroine meet each other and things start to click.  The villain announces he will be changing bank policy.  No late payments.

Act 1 Scene 2: The time is a few minutes later.  The scene is outside the Saloon, on the street.
The villain tells his minion, Fester Slink, that the Southern Pacific is coming to town, and land values will go way up.  He intends to foreclose on every one and get the land.  Since he had not planned on the heroine as his new partner, (inheritance from the Colonel), he plans to have a lady friend of his distract the hero, Deputy Drawdown, while he woes the heroine.

Act 1 Scene 3: The time is later that day, in the early evening, at the town saloon.
In this scene the hero, the sheriff, and Stanley discuss their suspicions about the villain.  The villain shows up with  the heroine, but she is not interested.  The villain backs off and leaves.  The hero and heroine are about to get closer when Natasha Borst shows up to distract the hero.

Act 2 Scene 1: The time is the next morning.  The scene is on the street, the same as 1-2..
Various towns people walk down the street, all on their way to the bank to discuss mortgage payments.  The villain’s minion has a dialogue with several of the women as he tries to hustle them.  The hero and heroine pine for each other as they move away.  Some of the towns people are following the villain to see what he is up to.

Act 2 Scene 2: The time is a few minutes later.  The scene is in the bank offices.
In this scene there are all of the towns people who are characters and who have mortgages, meet with the villain at various times only to find out he is foreclosing on them all for one technicality or another.  The villain’s story and his crimes star to catch up with him, and everyone is upset.

Act 2 Scene 3: The time is still later that morning.  The scene is again in the saloon.
The villain and the heroine are together as he makes one last attempt at her.  She refuses.  The hero enters, fit to be tied and confronts the villain about the foreclosures.  They banter with each other and end up challenging each other to a gunfight to end the problem.

Act 3 Scene 1: The time is a few minutes later  The scene is again the bank offices.
The villain and his minion meet to discuss the gunfight.  The villain tells Fester to hide in an upstairs window, and shoot the hero in the back.  Fester leaves and Natasha enters.  She and the villain talk of their future, if only she will distract the hero during the gunfight.

Act 3 Scene 2: The time is high noon.  The scene is on the street.
There is a lot of bravado, and women hugging and pleading and begging the two challengers for there to be some other way.  Just before the villain draws, Fester is found out, and with no one to murder the deputy, the villain tries to cheat.  He ends up dancing as he is shot at by the hero, who wins the draw.  It is proven that the villain killed his partner, which makes the partnership void, which means the heroine owns the bank.  All is saved and happy.
