Rosamund, our heroine, is the daughter of Henry (Y Knott in Belmont's mayor) and Alba Tross Hawke. She is in love with the town's sheriff and hero, Dudley du Left. When her parents are tragically killed, Rosamund goes to live with the Weird sisters, Effie and Neddie. While Dudley is away, Big Mack, our villain, seizes the opportunity to woo the heroine and to enact his evil plan to gain control of the town and take Rosamund as his bride. Aiding in Mack's schemes are Judge Will Swing and Madam Lotta Tush. Will Effie and Neddie see Mack's devilish deeds in their crystal ball? Whom will Rosie marry? Will Dudley return in time to save the day? Will the Judge ever sober up?
