The story begins in a Trading Post located in a small settlement somewhere in the Yukon Territory. Our Heroine Claudette Beoucoup the owner of the Trading post is waiting for our Hero, Sergeant Bob Sledd to return so they can get hitched. But our Villain, Dirty Jake Le Phew has different ideas. Yet the true Hero of the story is none of the above. Who could it be?

He is the resident Mountie that represents the only law and order covering Three Thousand miles of wilderness. While the Mountie always gets his man, in the end he gets his woman as well, what a man. |

Niece, niece to Uncle, Uncle Zachariah Pumphandle. She’s an orphan, and graduated with high honors from the orphanage. She has travel to the Yukon to live with her only living relative uncle Zachariah, only to find out the mountie has shot him dead. What shall she do, what shall she do? |
