Message from the President

Hello, everyone! I have news to share...
We have closed out the books for last season and….we made a small profit! (under $1,000, but the prior year we lost about that amount). Our income was still a bit under budget (in fairness, we gave ourselves a target worthy of aiming for and one), but our combined efforts, creativity and flexibility resulted in keeping our expenses well under budget.
We have also secured our dates for the 2012 season and our facilities cost will not be increasing (big sigh of relief). I will provide important dates below.
It is time to solicit nominations for the 2012 Board of Directors. Sandy Abrahamson and I are forming a nomination committee – anyone interested in assisting us, please contact either of us. Anyone interested in sitting on the board (and therefore having a say in decisions going forward), please let one of us know! We have 5 board members with expiring terms and must fill at least 4 seats. We plan to hold our Annual Meeting and Elections in March (exact date TBA). We moved this up to March so that the incoming Board can be assigned their “jobs” and have a bit more time to do them.
Also – anyone interested in directing the play or olios, please let me or a board member know. (And/or let us know if you have recommendations!)

Rehearsals begin the week of July 30th

Tech/Dress: Sat & Sun 10/6 & 10/7
Hell Week: Mon-Thurs 10/8 – 10/11
Performances:
  Fri 10/12, Sat 10/13, Sun 10/14;
  Fri 10/19, Sat 10/20, Sun 10/21;
  Fri 10/26, Sat 10/27.
